Our approach

OUSIA is built on a simple principle: the most personal computing should happen on your most personal device. We designed the product to minimize the data that leaves your phone. This policy explains, plainly, what stays on your device, what leaves, and why.

Processed on your device

Your profile (such as life stage, aspirations and preferences), your selected moods, and your reflections are stored and processed on your device. Personalized insights are generated on-device by a compact language model. This information is not uploaded to a cloud profile.

Limited data that leaves your device

• Anonymous product analytics. We use analytics to understand product usage (for example, installs, screen views and taps) so we can improve the app. These events do not include your reflections, moods or profile details.
• On-device model download (Android). While the on-device model finishes its first download, a secure cloud model may assist. It receives only generalized, non-identifying context — never your name, exact age, children's ages, precise location or mood text. Once the on-device model is ready, generation happens on your device.
• Subscriptions. Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play and our subscription provider. We receive subscription status and related dates, not your payment details.
• Outbound links. When you open curated content or products, you leave for third-party services (for example, streaming platforms or retailers) governed by their own privacy policies. Some product links are affiliate links.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not build a cloud profile of your psychological state. We are data-minimizing by design — this is not a claim that we collect no data at all.

Your choices & rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Because most personal data lives on your device, uninstalling the app removes local data.
